Vintage San Francisco Menus

Back in March, I wrote a blog post about the New York Public Library’s endeavor to archive menus in their Rare Books Division.

San Francisco, the city I call home, has a similar project in the works via Cool Culinaria.  Cool Culinaria’s mission statement is to “rescue vintage menu art from obscurity.”

Henry Voigt has been collecting vintage menus for decades.  They have partnered with Cool Culinaria and expanded their menu repertoire.  Many from the 1800s.

The menu below, from 1875 at Miner’s Restaurant, which is now located in the current space  of Sydney Town Tavern.
